In the picturesque town of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, I met up with a growing family that I have known for quite some time. As a friend for the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing their journey firsthand, especially the joy that their adorable son brings to their lives. When it came time to preserve these special moments, they contacted me to book a family session. I was so honored that they reached out and I was thrilled to be able to serve them!
The N. Family’s Story
The N. family’s story is one of enduring friendship. From our early days of shared adventures in Missisippi, to a few cross-county moves, to celebrating milestones together, I have seen their family grow and evolve. Their son, with his sweet laughter and curious spirit, has brought endless joy into their lives. It was so exciting to capture their loving and attentive family dynamic.
The Location
The session was held at Cedar Creek Park, in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. It is a charming park near downtown Cedarburg. This park has so much natural beauty and many fun things for little ones to do and explore! It was an extremely hot day, so it was my goal to ensure that the session was quick and efficient. We started the session off under a large tree near the creek. After getting the baby comfortable with his surroundings, his parents set him down in the shade of a tall tree and let him explore. I grabbed my camera, followed him around, and snapped away!
The Next Spot
We then moved to a little pathway near the tree with plenty of shade. We remained there for the rest of the session. The park was in the background and the pathway reflected some gorgeous light! I will always love golden hour, but I’m really beginning to love the light of mid-day as well! It creates such beautiful, light and airy portraits.
Concluding the Session
We ended our session with some sweet portraits of mom and dad and then of the family together. Despite the heat, the entire family did an amazing job. I got so many wonderful images for one of my favorite families! Capturing authentic moments and heartfelt memories for my clients is my number one goal for each and every session. It is such a blessing to be able to share in these moments with my clients! I am truly grateful.
Preserving Precious Memories
As a family photographer, I understand that the art of family photography lies not just in clicking a shutter. It lies in preserving fleeting moments that encapsulate the essence of a family and the love that they have for each other. It is a joy to capture these memories for my clients to view and enjoy for years to come. With every image captured, I am honored to be a part of this beautiful family’s journey together.
