The P. family is very special to me. They are not just my clients, but they are also family! I have documented all of their most special occasions. I was honored to document their engagement, their wedding, and now, their growing family!

Location

We met a small park right along the shores of Lake Michigan. I had never been to this park before, but it was perfect! It had everything to offer, including greenery, a bridge, a cute wooded fence, and a beach. The weather was cooperative, but I knew we would have to act fast, as the rain would not hold off for much longer. It was chilly, as is often the case along the lake. We picked our first spot and began the session!

The Session

Our first stop was the little wooden bridge. If there is one thing I know, it’s that it is impossible NOT to get great shots on or around a little wooden bridge, especially with a great couple! I put my sweet couple into a few poses, snapped away, and we were off to the next location. Anna & Jacob did an amazing job, and there was no shortage of shenanigans with Jacob. Anna would attest!

Our next stop was the little wooden fence near the little wooden bridge, with the same amount of rustic charm! Again, you can never go wrong with a little wooden fence. Add in an adorable baby bump? Perfection.

Next stop – the beach! Though it was too chilly to actually get into the water, this spot did not disappoint. Most of the images in this gallery were taken here!

Finally, we walked around a bit more and found a few more great little spots. We were able to squeeze in a few more shots before the rain began.

As we were leaving, I looked back and saw one more opportunity for an epic shot. It was sprinkling a bit but Anna & Jacob were good sports and indulged me in my artistic vision. I’m glad the rain held off for a few more minutes!

This session went by so fast, as they always do. Anna & Jacob did an amazing job and I cannot wait until baby Andrew arrives!
